Fixing Profiles

Installation Process

Our fixing profiles (see below) are screw fixed and silicone sealed to supplied surfaces which should be rigid and continuous. Plasterboard walls/bulkheads should be skimmed and have a suitable ply/timber within, to take approx. 12-15kg per linear metre tension of the stretch material. The joining fixing profile requires a rigid and continuous timber or MF structure at the correct position for upwards fixing. Installation of the stretch ceiling system requires the use of propane gas heaters to warm the material and raise the ambient air temperature to approx. 38ºC. Apertures for lighting, grilles, speakers etc, are made on site. Aperture sizes should be advised prior to install. Walls should be decorated (at least first coat applied) and wall tiles should be fitted and grouted before installation of our fixing profiles. Other trades working in the area should take extra care once the stretch ceiling is installed, to prevent damage. The area of installation should be dust free and clear of any obstructions prior to commencement of the stretch ceiling installation works. As the product is a thin PVC material a minor deflection may be apparent in some larger ceiling panels. It is therefore advisable to have a minimum gap of 100mm above inward opening doors etc. We cannot accept responsibility for any effects achieved. See our terms of sale for further information.

Maintenance

The stretch ceiling panels do not crack or peel so do not require ongoing maintenance or redecoration. They can be opened and closed by use of specialist removal tools to allow access above. The removal and replacement is best undertaken by trained and competent operatives.

Cleaning: Use an anti-static evaporating type liquid cleaner or polish, with a clean, soft, lint free cloth.

Air Movement: Air handling systems within the installed area must be properly balanced to prevent ceiling movement and possible damage, specifically in pool environments.

Guarantee: Our stretch ceiling system is covered by a 10 year Guarantee.
