Stretch Ceiling Pricing

Stretch Ceilings have unique properties that make them an appealing part of a building or renovation project. But whether you are a professional builder, architect, planner, or homeowner, understanding the potential costs of installing a stretch ceiling is crucial for budgeting.

Stretched ceilings are a versatile, aesthetic, and incredibly practical choice for any interior space, whether residential or commercial. However, several factors influence cost.

In this pricing guide, we will explain key factors that affect the price of your stretch ceiling installation. We want you to be able to make an informed decision when choosing your stretch ceiling. We have tried to be comprehensive without going into the deep technical details of stretched ceilings. To get an accurate quote, please call us on 01189 072906 or get in touch via our contact page.

Factors Affecting Stretch Ceiling Price

Stretch ceiling prices can vary from £50 to £300 per square metre, depending on several factors and options.

Fabric Finish
Stretch ceilings are available in a range of finishes, including matt, satin, gloss, and translucent, from which you can choose a number of colours. You can also print bespoke images or graphics onto the stretch fabric. The matt white finish costs significantly less than a printed finish.

Size & Shape
A four-cornered room will be more straightforward in terms of the manufacture and installation of a stretch ceiling. The more corners that are required will affect the cost, as well as irregular shapes and curves. We try to keep single stretch panels below 50 sq m each, so areas larger than this will be made up of a number of stretch panels separated by a joining track which will lead to an increase in cost, also due to the additional install time required.

Lighting & Apertures
Stretch ceilings can accommodate any fixtures and fittings, such as downlights, smoke alarms, vents/grills, etc. Each fixture will require an independent support and an aperture to be created in the ceiling, so the more being integrated within the ceiling the higher the cost.

We can also create backlit ceilings by fitting LED lighting behind a translucent stretch diffuser material. The LEDs are fitted to the soffit and evenly illuminate the material. This represents the higher end of the stretch ceiling cost, especially when combined with a printed material. Our fibre optic star ceiling options also sit at the higher end of the cost spectrum.

Project Location
Our office and workshop are based in Wokingham, Berkshire, so we are perfectly placed for projects in London and across the South. We are equipped to install stretch ceilings all over the UK, but we may need to charge extra travel and accommodation costs on installations further afield. Rest assured we will always provide competitive quotes regardless of the project location.

Stretched ceiling costs – conclusion

The price of a stretch ceiling is influenced by the finish you choose, lighting choices and the size (and shape) of the space being covered. Your location will also affect the cost you are quoted.

By taking each of these factors into consideration and by working with experienced professionals, you can achieve your desired aesthetic while staying within budget.

At Imperial Stretch Ceilings & Lighting, we take pride in offering our customers transparent, easily understood cost quotes that reflect the bespoke nature of each installation.
